I still haven't gotten Easter photos posted, sorry. I wanted to do a few updates on the girls' development, though.
They are pretty much daytime potty trained. They have been pre-training for a little while and in the last week or so made the big jump so now they're only wearing diapers at nap and bedtime and doing really well about not having accidents. They even poop on there! Exciting times...
They actually recognize letters already.. we're a little surprised, but are happy they are so excited about it. They both LOVE the letter B, but also know H, I, K, L, O, P, and Y. Bekah is hit and miss on numbers to 10, Kimberly loves to count "one, two, five". (She used to say three, but apparently has found "five" is more fun to say). They're very excited about colors and shapes right now, so when they used to be able to point out what an object was (like an orange), now they just say the shape that it is (circle!!). Circles and triangles are very popular around here.
They're also talking a lot more now and much clearer. We can usually figure out what they mean with context, so that's good. They used to get really excited when we could correctly repeat back to them what they were saying to us, but now they expect it.
Kimberly still has an obsession with airplanes and Bekah loves to watch for them as well. They'll happily tell you that they go "to the airport" if you ask them where the airplanes are going. They love watching Wall-E with big sister Kelsi, and go through rotating phases of enjoying Blue's Clues, Dora the Explorer, and Elmo. Kimberly loves to pretend everything is a baby. Even if it's not small. They are avid climbers and getting more confidence to jump off of more things rather than just while standing on the ground already. Anything to do with their little kitchen is still fun for them. They have a bunch of play plates, cups, pots, pans, and food that they make "dinner" with, no matter what time of day. Bekah runs really fast, but luckily only shows it off when we're running laps around the track while Kelsi is playing soccer on the field. Their morning routine includes helping Daddy wash the dishes, they still love to help with that one.
Okay... that's enough for now. Hopefully I'll be able to post new photos soon.
